The ChartMaker platform will be decommissioned on August 31, 2026 for customers that have not contracted to upgrade to Azalea.

After this date, customers who are not transitioning to Azalea, completed any required data access requests, or made other approved arrangements will no longer have access to ChartMaker for ongoing use, including certain workflows related to billing, claims, reporting, or historical data access. We previously communicated this timeline, but given the importance of the upcoming deadline, we want to reiterate what this means for each customer group and what actions may be required.

What this means for you:

1. If you have already upgraded to Azalea:

    1. Congratulations on completing your transition to Azalea! You are now using a modern, continuously enhanced platform designed to support your practice going forward. The August 31st ChartMaker decommissioning does not impact your Azalea access.
    2. If you are still within your 90-day post-upgrade ChartMaker access period for AR wind-down or historical reference, that access will continue according to your transition timeline. If you are beyond your 90-day post-upgrade ChartMaker access period, you will no longer have access as of 8/31.
    3. If you are still relying on ChartMaker for any vendor-related workflows, including lab interfaces such as Quest or LabCorp, please make sure any required vendor requests have been submitted already as they can take up to 45 days for those vendors to process.

2. If you are contracted to upgrade to Azalea but have not yet started or completed your migration:

    1. You remain in the Azalea migration queue, and our team will continue supporting you through the transition.
    2. The August 31 ChartMaker decommissioning does not mean your upgrade is at risk, and we will enable extended access to ChartMaker while you undergo the upgrade process. However, it is important that you respond promptly to scheduling, readiness, and implementation requests so we can keep your migration on track.
    3. Please continue working with your Azalea implementation contact on your go-live timing, readiness items, and any open dependencies.
    4. If you have questions about your migration status or next steps, please reach out to Barbara Lee (barbara.lee@azaleahealth.com).

3. If you have not contracted to upgrade to Azalea: This includes customers who previously decided not to move forward, customers who have not responded to prior outreach, and customers who did not reply by the prior May 31 deadline. Your access to ChartMaker will end on August 31, 2026. See below for data export options that were previously communicated. If you are an on-premise ChartMaker customer and are still submitting claims through Waystar or another clearinghouse, note that functionality will not be available after the August 31st decommissioning date.

Your Data Export options

    1. Data export from Azalea
We can prepare an export of your ChartMaker data.

      1. Practice Manager/CSV export: $1,500
      2. EHR data export: starting at $7,500, with final pricing based on database size and complexity
    2. Standalone Archive Laptop with Chartmaker and client data fully installed
STI Managed Services can provide you with a new laptop containing a read-only instance of ChartMaker and your data so that you can retain access to it in an on-premises environment. Please let us know if you need an introduction to STI to discuss this option.
    3. Extended data storage
We can retain a copy of your data in secure cloud storage for $250 per month, subject to execution of an extended data storage service agreement.

Required response
Please reply by Friday, August 21, 2026 with your preferred option. If you would like a data export, please include the name and contact information for the person who will coordinate the request on your behalf. If you do not wish to retain a copy of your data, please reply to confirm that decision in writing. We are unable to retain data after the wind-down without an active service agreement. If we do not receive a response, we will enroll you in the extended data storage option and invoicing will begin on August 31.

If you have questions about your contracting/migration status, data access needs, claims workflows, or ChartMaker decommissioning impact, please contact am@azaleahealth.com as soon as possible.
